The biggest problem of the game are the party members since this game is F2P, you have to roll for random character either by paying cash or grinding ingame currency. Granblue Fantasy or even Fate GO are better games. I downloaded and played for an hour or so, I wouldn't recommend this game, there are better gacha RPG out there. I wouldn't say its the next Chrono Trigger, but in terms of F2P JRPG's it stands on its own two legs. It feels like I could pay money for a full fledged version of the game. What if the servers get shut down? Is there an ending to this game? Other than that its kinda nice. Playing one that is free and that is online makes me feel like I'm walking on thin ice. I have paid for apps on my iOS device that I can play. Its one of those games that I'd consider if I didn't have other games to look forward to or games that I want to play again. The combat is fun and the enemies looked good. Its very well made, but I wanted to move on. Maybe its getting new party members? I got to the point where I could do multiple quests and then uninstalled it. I didn't get into the whole "P2W" mechanic because honestly I didn't see it. You set off on a journey, you roam around a map (collect treasure, fight monsters, fight harder enemies if you can, go on quest), and then the story progresses you to another area. I'll agree that you usually have to sort through the garbage to find stuff like this, but mobile has quite a few awesome experiences if you know where to look and don't mind spending a bit of cash up-front. There are also lots of great original (originally developed for mobile devices) games that are on par with the above in a lot of cases and typically aren't riddled with ads and mobile gacha garbageĪs well as hundreds of other games I've personally enjoyed that are paid apps that offer in-app purchases that are extremely non-intrusive and don't affect gameplay at all. Grand Theft Auto III / Vice City / San Andreas Sure, but they're usually pretty hard to find since a lot of times they're a) not free and b) not featured prominently in the app stores because they don't generate as much revenue as the free games like you describe.įinal Fantasy I / II / III / IV / V / VI / VII / IXĭragon Quest I / II / III / IV / V / VI / VIII
